Big hats, dashing outfits and mint juleps galore as we gather to watch the first leg of the triple crown series — the Kentucky Derby! Prizes for best hat, outfit and more, including great eats, open bar and live racing action!
Featured as a media promo to the Bunny Ball, each year the TNYH & OPB curate an iconic and extravagant jumping photo. Sponsors get the opportunity to be featured in the photo, and tickets are sold to guests that want to witness all the behind the scenes action. The black-tie night offers a full VIP guest experience with eats, drinks and live action!
Without Landowners, there is no hunt! Each summer we show our sincerest thanks to our landowners and neighbours by hosting a summer party featuring some racing! Our beloved hounds compete, steeplechase style, for the championship. It sure is a crowd favourite and a great way to show off the hounds to all our supporters who share their land with us.
The True North Hunt Weekend hosted in the spring features three different hunting packs that Canada has to offer. In 2025 the weekend included hosting a guest drag pack — the Wellington Waterloo, hunting with a foot pack — the Old Port Bassets, and hunting with the Toronto and North York Hunt and a Red & White Party to celebrate all things Canadian!
The TNYH Opening meets are special because they mark the official start of the formal hunting season, acting as a high-profile celebration of tradition, community, and preparation. They are considered a premier social event that brings together our riders, landowners, and supporters to celebrate the countryside.
TNYH Ladies Day Hunt — A special day celebrating women and supporting a great cause. The annual meet, which is hosted in October (breast cancer awareness month) on the Wednesday before the Bunny Ball brings women from all around the world to raise a glass to the ladies and fundraise for breast cancer.
The Toronto and North York Hunt receive the honour of parading the hounds in the Grand Coliseum on the Wednesday night of the Royal Horse Show. This tradition re-started in 2024, being the first time hounds had re-entered the ring in over 25 years.
The Bunny Ball created by the Old Port Bassets and hosted jointly with the Toronto and North York Hunt is a black-tie, fundraising event for both clubs. This coveted event includes music, dancing, live and silent auctions, open bar and a three course dinner. An evening of elegance and class.
The Creemore Horse, Hound & Harvest parade features the Toronto and North York Hunt’s hounds, staff, horses and members each Thanksgiving Saturday. The TNYH parades through the town for all loving locals to enjoy. A truly special tradition for the club!
