Who We Are.
Horse enthusiasts, we are an organization that promotes the preservation of our beautiful countryside and the sport of following the hounds. If you want to challenge yourself, or simply ride outside the arena and enjoy the countryside, we invite you to join us. The fun is in sharing the chase and the company of friends – horse, hound and human!
How to Get Started.
Riders of all levels can participate. You do not need to ride English-style – we welcome western riders and equestrians of all ages and levels, from those who jump, to those who ‘hilltop’ and do not jump, to those who desire a more leisurely pace, not unlike a trail ride.
At the Toronto & North York Hunt, we welcome and accommodate everyone. You do need a horse and have riding experience, but if you are not sure your horse is suitable, we can provide an experienced hunt horse and one of our members will be with you your first time, every step of the way.

Our History.
One of the oldest hunts in Canada, we were founded in 1843. While we hold some of the traditions (like the fabulous clothes and the drink from the stirrup cup), we have a very modern version of this historic sport.
Our kennels and stables are located in the beautiful hills of Mulmur near the town of Creemore. We also have numerous other fixtures throughout the countryside so every outing is a new experience.
